Another excellent vintage rum from Plantation. This offering is a 15 year old Bajan rum that splits its maturation across the Caribbean and France, a signature of the Plantation range (after all, they are owned by Cognac House Maison Ferrand).
The rum is matured for 12 years in former Bourbon casks in Barbados, before being transferred to the Chateau de Bonbonnet for aging for two years in former Pierre Ferrand cognac casks. The balance between the Bourbon and Cognac influence on this rum is superb, with delicious dark sugar notes offset by dried grapes and sweet vanilla and baking spices.
The bottle’s symbol features the Morgan Lewis mill, the last active sugar mill on the island.
